Woman killed in I-75 crash

A woman died early Saturday in a crash on I-75 in Monroe County. Here is the full release from Allison Selman-Willis of the Monroe County sheriff’s office: A Marietta woman was killed in a one vehicle crash this morning around 8 a.m. on I-75 southbound. Anita Westbrook, 51, was an unrestrained passenger in a Jeep Liberty that went off the roadway, down an embankment and flipped over several times near Pate Road on I-75. The driver, Jacqueline Blackwell of College Park, and the rear seat passenger, Salome Scott of Smyrna, were wearing seatbelts. Both Blackwell and Scott were transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia by ambulance. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
