Woman lifeflighted after crash on MLK Pkwy.

One woman was lifeflighted to the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon following a two-car collision at the intersection of MLK Parkway and Gordon Road just after noon Wednesday. A Jeep Cherokee was eastbound on Gordon Road crossing the intersection when it was struck by a Ford Expedition southbound on MLK Parkway. The driver of the Jeep was trapped in her vehicle for a long period as emergency personnel worked to extricate her. She was lifeflighted with injuries to her chest. One other passenger from the Jeep was taken by ambulance to Upson Regional. The driver of the Expedition and a fourth person were able to walk to an ambulance and were also transported.
