A man working with a crew installing an irrigation system at Gordon College was struck in the head by a trenching machine Monday afternoon. The unidentified man was attended to by first responders and firefighters until an ambulance arrived on the scene. He was conscious and alert but was lifeflighted to a trauma center for further evaluation. The medical evacuation helicopter landed near old Summers Field.
