Brooklyn-born woodturner Alan Stirt will be demonstrating his craft at the Barnesville woodturners meeting on Tuesday September 15 at 7 p.m. Stirt earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Harpur College – State University of New York in 1969 before embarking on a career that has placed his work in such galleries as the American Craft Museum (New York, NY), Detroit Institute of Arts (Detroit, MI), White House Permanent Collection (Washington DC) and Woodturning Center (Philadelphia, PA).
