In their only action last week, the high school wrestling team beat Baldwin 36-17 but fell to Monticello 59-16. The matches were held at Monticello High School. Lamar County will compete in the Area 4-AA individual tournament this weekend at Morgan County High School in Madison. The tournament gets underway Friday and continues Saturday. The top four grapplers from each weight class advance to the state sectionals at Dublin next weekend.
