Wynona Alice Bevil Tyus, 91, of Milner passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Mrs. Tyus was the daughter of the late Mr. Bluma White Bevil and the late Mrs. Lecky Harris Bevil and was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Drewery Tyus Sr., a son, Mr. James Drewery “Jimbo” Tyus Jr., and a grandson, Mr. James Andrew Kosar. Mrs. Tyus was a homemaker and member of Milner Baptist Church, where she was a past Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include three daughters, Molly Tyus Shivers (and Chunky), Lynda Tyus Richter (and Rick) and Miriam Tyus Hardman (and Bob); four grandchildren, Wanda Shiver Grant, Patricia Shiver Hester, Joseph Jay Kosar and Robert Tyus Richter; eight great-grandchildren, Jessica Grant, Caroline Grant, Macenzie Hester, Alyssa Kosar, Deven Kosar, James Kosar, Joliene Kosar and Joseph Jay Kosar Jr.; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held Friday, April 20 at 2 p.m. in the Milner Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Taylor and Rev. Garth Forster officiating. Interment will follow in the Milner Baptist Cemetery.
