Tammy York was named acting city manager during a special called meeting of the Barnesville city council May 14. York had served as chief financial officer previously.
No definite date has been set for the public hearing on the fate of former city manager Tim Turner whom the council suspended May 6. One possibility is Monday, June 3 before that night’s regularly scheduled council meeting.
