The Baby Booker Tigers, consisting of local second and third graders, have made their presence known on the court. Officially known as Booker Tigers Elite (BTE) the team is ranked #15 in the KB Sports Top 20.
The Tigers are playing in the national championship tournament in Atlanta this weekend.
Marcus White is BTE’s head coach. He is assisted by Waveka Bledsoe and Marksavian Carter.
“This team has powered through a competitive season, showing skill, girt and teamwork. We didn’t come into the season with any expectations. Our goal was to grow. These kids have continued to stay committed and continue to make us proud both on and off the court,” White said of his squad.
