April zoning hearings include request for commercial buildings on 3.4 acres in downtown Milner

Several zoning hearings of interest are upcoming in April, including one for five office/warehouse buildings for light industrial or commercial use in downtown Milner.

LOR Properties, LLC. seeks rezoning of 3.4 acres at 118 and 120 Main Street from R-1 (residential) to P-M (planned development mixed use). The land, which is across from the Milner Creek apartment complex, currently has two trailers and assorted out buildings.

The proposed buildings would be 6000 square feet each.

LOR Properties was formed in 2019. Its registered agent is Adrian Chapman of 49 Legacy Park Dr. in Barnesville.

Additionally, Joseph Wells is seeking a special exception for property at 1355 City Pond Road to open an existing hobby remote controlled vehicle track to the public.

Ryan and Mary Eliza Buice are seeking to split two acres from a family owned 19-acre property on Fredonia Church Road for a residence.

Glen and Sandy Studle want to split two acres from a 56-acre tract on Piedmont Road for a residence.

The zoning heard these requests on April 9. The county commission will take them up on April 21 at 6:30 p.m. and then vote at its meeting which follows at 7 p.m.
