The Gordon Highlanders fell to the Young Harris Mountain Lions in a three game series over the weekend. In the first game Gordon scored 6 against Young Harris’ 9 runs. The Highlanders’ Mitch Rider was 2-2 with 2 bbs while Eric Esquilin went 3-5. In the second game Gordon scored 2 to Young Harris’ 8. Blake Parrott let the offense 2-3 with a double. And in the third game, Gordon scored 12 with Young Harris batting in 23. Brandon Chastain was 3-4 including a triple and Eric Esquilin chipped in with a 2-3 performance. This series leaves the Highlanders 19-14 for the season and 5-4 in conference play. The Highlanders play again Tuesday, March 24 in a double header against Chattanooga State. The first game begins at 2 p.m. The Highlanders then face Middle Georgia College for a three game stand starting Friday, March 27 at 5 p.m. Saturday’s games begin at 3 p.m.
